AGAINST MOISTURE
50 YEARS OF HISTORY AND KNOW-HOW
Jean Vasseur, founder of Sodepac, is also the inventor of the humidity absorber!
In 1965, Jean Vasseur developed an absorption system to combat humidity in the sugar industry. Initially designed for the protection of goods in the industrial sector, it is clear that this technique meets a real need among individuals: The first patented humidity absorber was therefore launched in 1973 by the inventor of the process.
Since then, the company has continued to evolve, investing each year in product research and development, and in new production tools which has enabled it to become a key European player and increase its presence globally.
The factory located in Hallennes-lez-Haubourdin in the north of France has been steadily expanding.
Today, on two sites covering 10,000 and 8,000 m2 respectively, Sodepac is building on extensive expertise: interpersonal skills, a dynamic R&D department, highly responsive manufacturing and first-rate quality control.
Sodepac International is still a family business rooted in its local environment. Gérard Vasseur, Jean’s son, headed the company from 2003 to 2016 and facilitated the company’s international development. As the current chairman, he handed over the senior management to his son Etienne in 2017.
